The Fabergé Egg colouring project

Here in the UK we have a long weekend with two bank holidays for  Easter, so extra time for doodling!

I have a special project for you today and have taken as my inspiration the work of Peter Carl Fabergé, jeweller to the court of the Romanov Russian royal family. The eggs are very elaborate and intricate, but it is the ones with flower designs that I’m particularly drawn to.

Pansy Egg containing a pendant with family portraits

Rose Trellis

The short video below features more of the collection, which is now housed in the Kremlin Armoury Museum and gives some of the history of the eggs.

I have taken cherry blossom as the inspiration for the design of my egg.

And here is the design sheet for you to print off

When you have finished you can share your work by posting it in the Lost in Doodles Facebook group

Wishing you a great weekend and I hope you enjoy the project!
